The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, His Excellency Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit visited Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS), Islamabad, on the 8th of October, 2021. The PM and his delegation first visited Rawal College of Medicine (RCoM) and Rawal College of Dentistry (RCoD) at PIES Complex Islamabad. The delegation then visited Rawal General and Dental Hospital (RG&DH) where a reception was hosted in their honour. The event was marked to celebrate the opening of Rawal International University Dominica (RIUD) in the Caribbean Island, a joint venture of Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS) Islamabad and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
During the reception proceedings, the Co-Chairperson of RIHS, Mrs. Saleha Khaqan highlighted the interest and confidence shown by the Dominican Government in this new educational initiative. The PM and his delegation thanked Chairman RIHS, Mr. Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, and Co-Chairperson Mrs. Saleha Khaqan for the hospitality extended during their visit.
In the end, the Chairman RIHS thanked the PM and his delegation for visiting RIHS and ensured that with the knowledge, skills, and experience of Rawal’s team, we will succeed in establishing Rawal International University Dominica. So that the mutual goal of quality health and education could be achieved.
