Fundamentals of Nursing
The department of Fundamentals of Nursing at Rawal College of Nursing (RCoN) follows the curriculum developed by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan & Pakistan Nursing Council that focuses to equip the students on required knowledge & skills of basics of nursing field required for a student to develop into a professional nurse & work in clinical area by developing Clinical Bedside Skills. Undergraduate nursing students are trained with skills in pre-clinical laboratory (Skills laboratory) for learning skills to provide comprehensive nursing care to the patients before they are exposed to real hospital situations.
We have fully equipped basic & advanced Skills laboratory with advanced simulation Manikins. Students are trained with sufficient proficiency under the guidance of experienced mentors to transform themselves into experts in nursing skills. Students are being evaluated through evaluation checklists and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). The department focuses on students’ exposure to real scenarios to use the trainings into action. The department focuses on molding the beginners with right attitude towards the nursing profession.
